Q. What time does the Model Railway Museum open?
A. Wednesdays to Sundays we are open from 10am to 5pm and Bank Holiday Mondays from 1pm to 5pm
Q. What time is last entry to the museum?
A. Last entry is at 4:30pm
Q. Are you open over Christmas?
A. Christmas Eve – Closed
Christmas Day – Closed
St Stephens Day – Closed
December 27th – back to regular operational hours.
Open on New years day.
Q. How much time should we allow to visit the museum?
A. It is recommended to leave anything from 40 minutes to 1 hour depending on interest level
Q. Are dogs allowed?
A. Dogs are not permitted in grounds of the Casino.
Q. Do you supply wheelchairs?
A. No
Q. Is the museum fully wheelchair accessible?
A. Yes
Q. Do you have disabled toilet facilities?
A. Yes.
Q. Is the museum suitable for children?
A. Yes the museum is ideal for children from 4 years and older
Q. Is there a café on site?
A. No. There are cafés and restaurants located in Malahide Village just 2 minutes’ walk from the Casino Model Railway Museum.
Q. Do you have an ATM Service?
A. There are ATM’s located within 2 minutes walking distance to the village
Q. What constitutes an adult/student/senior?
A. Student may be asked for a student card. Senior tickets are for those aged 65 and over.
Q. Where is the nearest car parking?
A. Malahide village has on metered on street parking, Bridgefield car park is located opposite the Casino Model Railway museum with free parking for one hour. There are two disabled parking bays on site to the left of the Museum building. Malahide Castle offers free parking and is just 10 minutes stroll from the museum. Enter the Castle parking via the main gate on Back Road.

A. Groups of 10+ can be booked by emailing reservations@malahidecastleandgardens.ie
